Consignment SE Shires Q Series TBQ36GR Bass Trombone

Since it’s development the S.E. Shires Q series line has become a mainstay in the professional trombone world, with the S.E. Shires TBQ36 Q Series bass trombone line offers an introduction to the sound, response, and control that has made SE Shires a mainstay.

The TBQ36GR features a 9 ½” gold brass bell, reverse yellow brass tuning slide, dual independent rotors (F/Gb/D tuning) with open wrap and a .562” bore handslide with yellow brass outer tubes, nickel silver crook and interchangeable leadpipes.

This TBQ36GR has been well-loved but is in excellent physical condition.  The bell has a few small dents but otherwise the trombone is ding and dent free; the lacquer is around 80%, with significant wear on the contact points and tuning slides.  The valves are fast and smooth with minimal play in the linkages. 

This trombone is a great playing example of the Q series line, with a full, rich sound that is given definition with the rotor valves; the trigger register has a nicely balanced compression and offers the ability to get impact and bark without losing the core of the sound.  Comes with SE Shires Cordura hard case.
