Consignment Conn 88H Large Bore Tenor Trombone

The Conn 88H has been a staple large bore tenor trombone for decades; featuring an 8.5” two-piece rose brass bell, yellow brass reverse tuning slide, closed-wrap F-attachment with rotor and a narrow .547” bore handslide with yellow brass outer tubes and nickel silver crook the 88H has offered nuanced color and response and outstanding playability for generations of players. 

This 88H is in great shape; outside of a few small dings it is dent-free with 95+% of the lacquer intact.  The valve action is smooth, with minimal linkage noise, and the handslide is a 9+/10. 

This trombone is a great playing example of the modern 88Hs; it has a balanced, colorful sound with clarity and the ability to shimmer at upper dynamics.  The response is efficient and articulate and the closed wrap provides stability and immediacy in the low register.  Comes with Conn hardshell case.
