The Bach 42BO has been one of the quintessential professional large bore tenor trombones for generations. Featuring an 8 1/2" one-piece yellow brass bell, closed wrap F-attachment and .547" bore handslide the 42BO provides the classic Bach sound and response, full and broad with stability and vibrancy.
This 42BO is in good condition for it's age. It has lacquer wear and scratches throughout the bell, tuning slide and handslides (typical of an instrument this age) and one small area of repaired damage but is otherwise ding and dent free (outside of one small F tuning slide ding.) The valve is quick and quiet and the handslide is a 9/10. The overall sound and response is very typical of the Bach 42 experience. It is very stable and has a relatively dark and dense timbre; it responds well throughout the registers and at mid-to-upper dynamics gains resonance and projection while maintaining it's core. Comes with Bach fabric-covered wood shell case.
