The Extending Tube Mute is a Harmon style, “Wow-Wow” mute inspired by the original Harmon sound. Made in the traditional Denis Wick fashion via premium hand-drawn aluminum, this mute offers more solidity in sound and intonation, while retaining that classic Harmon tone.
The brass stem will stay in place, wherever you set it, and the cork is 100% natural, ensuring a long life.
Denis Wick’s tenure with the London Symphony Orchestra from 1957 to 1988 solidified his reputation for setting new standards in trombone performance. In 1968, he embarked on a journey to craft brass instrument accessories, driven by his experience as a trombonist, brass teacher, and conductor.
