The Opus model clarinet was the ultimate orchestral clarinet, a top professional clarinet when originally in production. Its mature, rich tone possesses great evenness, directness, and power.

The Opus can be played at the fullest dynamic levels without tonal distortion and at whisper dynamic levels without loss of body or color in the tone. The Opus, with its excellent scale, simplifies playing in tune—especially in the upper clarion register. It includes an auxiliary Ab-Eb key and an adjustable thumb rest.

There are no cracks, and the instrument still plays beautifully. Some of the keys have some tarnish and other small cosmetic signs of wear. The clarinet has matching serial numbers and has been maintained throughout the years.
