Consignment Selmer Special 20 Small Bore Tenor
Features a 7.25" yellow brass bell with a brass kranz around the rim, a yellow brass reverse tuning slide and a .480"/.490" dual bore handslide with yellow brass outer tubes and crook.
This Special 20 is in good shape for it's age; the lacquer is 75%, with wear on the standard contact points. The trombone is overall ding-and-dent free, although there is evidence of repairs on the tuning slide; the handslide is an 8.5/10 with no wear evidence on the inner handslide stockings.
The Special 20 has been compared to the King 2B; while it has the efficiency of the classic 2B it has a slightly heavier feel, with a bit more resistance in the blow and a little more denseness and warmth to it's timbre; for the player looking for a compact and even-playing small bore tenor this trombone has a lot of possibilities.
Comes with original wood shell case and mouthpiece.
