The "Legendary Choice of Professionals" was created in 1955 by Robert Carrée and is the most popular professional clarinet in the world. Its tone is focused and rich, and it is powerful in all registers. Its flexibility lends itself to all repertoires: symphonies or chamber music, soloists, teachers, military bands, students or amateurs.
Mopane
Mopane wood has warm mid-brown to reddish-brown hues that harmonize wonderfully with the gleaming silver, nickel or gold plated keys of our extraordinary musical instruments. In addition to these remarkable mechanical characteristics, the mopane wood enhances this limited series by offering a mellow and warm sound that combines softness and brilliance combined with a powerful and direct projection.
The essence of this wood allows for the exploration of new sound colours with both pure pianissimo nuances and wide, open forte tones without any saturation.
Greenline: resilient to weather without sacrificing sound
Buffet Crampon developed the Greenline series in 1994 as a way to produce a professional instrument that can withstand admirably to variations in atmospheric conditions (temperature, humidity), but also reduce the manufacturing impact on the African grenadilla wood population. The body is constructed of 95% grenadilla wood and 5% polycarbonate fiber and epoxy resin. This gives it a much higher resistance to the effects of temperature and humidity changes, especially preventing any cracking.
