  • Illia Ovcharenko - Thursday, November 14th, 7 PM

    One of the world’s most celebrated young pianists, playing concerts all over the world. He’s the 2023 winner of the Honens International Piano Competition in Calgary, along with top prizes at the New York, Hilton Head, Busoni and Horowitz Piano competitions. Illia's highlights of the 2023/24 season include debuts with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Liechtenstein Symphony, and Haifa Symphony, as well as return engagements with the Calgary Philharmonic. He is scheduled to perform at Koerner Hall in Toronto, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Sendesaal in Hannover, Robert-Schumann-Saal in Düsseldorf, and Salle Bourgie in Montréal in the upcoming season.

  • Young-Ah Tak - Thursday, November 21, 7 PM

    Holding a remarkable career that has taken her all over the world. She has since appeared with numerous orchestras including the Roanoke, Lansing, North Arkansas, Orchestra of Northern New York, Venice, Imperial, Filharmonia Pomorska (Poland), Oltenia Philharmonic (Romania). Young-Ah Tak has been awarded top prizes in numerous international competitions including: the San Antonio International Piano Competition, the Hilton Head International Piano Competition, Korea’s Isang Yun International Music Competition, Germany’s Ettlingen International Piano Competition, and Italy’s Valsesia-Musica International Competition.

    Come see the “r” of “Spirio | r” in action! In addition to being the world’s finest player piano, Steinway’s Spirio | r also records your performances and plays them back with perfect fidelity!

    Schmitt piano specialist Andy Fleser, along with low brass Director of Sales Keith Hilson, will show off what makes Spirio not just a fantastic source of entertainment, but also a powerful collaborative and educational tool.

  • Concert of the Immortals - Tuesday, December 10th, 6:30 PM

    Schmitt Music Bloomington is proud to present a “Concert of the Immortals” - historic performances from great Steinway artists of yesteryear, played on a Spirio piano, Steinway’s state-of-the-art, high-definition player piano system.

  • Michael Cabe - Friday, December 13, 6 PM

    Location: Schmitt Music Concert Hall

    Michael Cabe is a pianist, educator, composer, business professional, tech start-up participant, and marathon runner - a true Renaissance man.  Raised on a farm in the greater Seattle area, Cabe moved to New York in 2003 and has performed at some of New York City's finest performance spaces (including Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, The Jazz Standard, Birdland, the 55 Bar) and beyond (including The Kennedy Center, the Newport Jazz Festival, Monterey Jazz Festival, Toronto Jazz Festival, Ottawa Jazz Festival). He performs as a solo artist, in trio, and as a member of groups including Duchess and the Amy Cervini Quartet.
